Ribeauvillé, Alsace
This morning was spent wandering through Ribeauvillé, a charming town nestled between Alsace’s vineyards and mountains. With its half-timbered houses, cobblestone streets and vibrant floral touches, it felt like walking through a postcard, if only the postcard also came with a glass of Riesling in hand.
Ribeauvillé might be small, but it’s full of life and history. Once a stronghold of the Lords of Ribeaupierre, the town has gracefully embraced the present without losing its medieval soul. We spotted the iconic white storks perched confidently on rooftops - an Alsatian symbol of luck and fidelity, though the size of their nests could probably house a small child.
From morning market strolls to peeking into little wine shops and watching the townsfolk go about their day, it was one of those simple, slow-travel moments that felt incredibly rich. Ribeauvillé may be petite, but it leaves a big impression.
