Deng Wen Ji

I used to frequent East Village for Eng's Wonton Mee and Geylang Ah Ching Calypot rice before we started working from home due to the pandemic. So when I returned to office last week, I came here again only to find out that the franchise had been rebranded to Deng Wen Ji.

The menu looks similar with the wonton mee and claypot rice but more Tze Char dishes are now available.

The wonton mee still taste the same. Their char siew slices which are fattier, thicker and more charred have always been different from the orginal Eng's. The lard-rich noodle is still served with the fiery Eng-style chili sauce.

Will be back to confirm the standard of their claypot rice and Tze Char dishes.
