Breakfast in Alba, and FuocoFarina turned out to be a very good way to start the day.
FuocoFarina is actually a restaurant, but we came purely for breakfast, and it was the breads and pastries that caught our attention. Beautifully laminated croissants, crisp golden layers, buttery centres and some rather tempting creations topped with fruit, cream and chocolate.
What impressed me most was the quality of the dough. You could see those fine layers before even taking a bite, and they had that lovely contrast of crisp outside and soft, airy inside.
Coffee, very good pastries and a leisurely morning in Alba. Sometimes breakfast does not need to be complicated. It just needs very good bread.
