Guang Dong Hong Kong Delights

Smokey claypot rice with tender chicken chunks, Chinese sausages and salted fish at a very affordable price of $5.30 ($4.30 without salted fish). No wonder this stall is so popular in this food centre.

The stall specialises in Hong-Kong-style claypot rice, steamed rice and soup. They also serve other simple steamed and "Tze Char" dishes which are ideal for sharing if you have a bigger group.

We have their steamed whole grouper ($16) HK-style and steamed pork patty with salted fish ($6) to go with the claypot rice.

The fish is fresh and steamed to perfect doneness. Drizzled with shallot oil, a balanced soy-sauce mixture and topped with lots of scallions and gingers. Would go really well with plain rice more than the claypot rice.

Although flavourful, I do not really enjoy the texture of the steamed meat patty which, I believe, has gone through artificial tenderization process.

Overall this place offers good deal that will keep you full and satisfied.
