부산선옥 (Busan Seonok)

We ended our day in Busan with dinner at 부산선옥 (Busan Seonok), a popular Korean BBQ restaurant known for its Jirisan Black Pork and generous spread of homemade banchan. The restaurant's philosophy is simple: premium pork paired with country-style side dishes made from vegetables they grow themselves.

The thick cuts of Jirisan black pork belly and pork jowl were grilled to perfection right at our table, developing a beautiful golden crust while remaining incredibly juicy and tender inside. Each bite was rich and flavourful, especially when wrapped in fresh perilla leaves with garlic, ssamjang and kimchi. We also enjoyed the beef yukhoe, spicy marinated raw crab, a comforting doenjang stew and the endless variety of banchan that kept arriving.

It wasn't a flashy meal, just honest, well-executed Korean BBQ using quality ingredients. A satisfying dinner and a great way to end another memorable day in Busan.
