We started our morning drive from our lovely guesthouse, Casa Cimeira, winding our way gently downslope towards the Douro River, where we joined the famed N222 route. From the very first stretch, we could not help but stop, snapping pictures as we descended, then continuing to make photo stops all along the scenic N222. The views were like postcards come to life, each one more breathtaking than the last, imprinting themselves deep into my memories.
