Lausanne, Switzerland
On the way from Bern to the famous Lavaux vineyards, we made a stop in Lausanne. Perched by Lake Geneva, this city has a charm of its own. The Gothic cathedral stood tall and majestic, its stained glass windows glowing with colours that tell centuries of stories. Walking through the old town, the steep streets opened up to sweeping views of the rooftops and the blue shimmer of the lake in the distance.
It was just a brief stop, but Lausanne felt alive with a blend of history, beauty, and that relaxed lake-town vibe. Sometimes, the unplanned pauses on a journey leave a surprisingly sweet impression.
