Passerelle de Deux Rives

We spent a night in Kehl purely out of logistics, but what a pleasant surprise it turned out to be. Before heading off to Colmar, our base in Alsace for the next few days, we took a lovely morning stroll across the Passerelle de Deux Rives. The footbridge links Germany and France across the Rhine River, and it was so quiet and scenic that it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves.

The air was cool and crisp, the sky picture-perfect. We posed for some photos on the bridge, then wandered into the green park on the German side. That was when Ashton whipped out his frisbee and roped Audrey into a spontaneous match on the open field. It was such a joy watching them laugh and chase after the disc under that vast blue sky.

Sometimes it’s these unplanned stops that gift us the most peaceful, postcard moments. A little breather before the wine and choucroute adventures in Alsace begin!
