The offerings at Chef Chik's stall are pretty straightforward - Just a few fixed steamed dishes and some soups of the day.
If you are a fan of Cantonese-style steamed dishes and double-boiled soup, you would know the 火候 (mastery of the fire - cooking duration and degree of heat) is extremely important for such dishes. Chef Chik has perfected that and with the use of simple marinade and very fresh ingredients, he is churning out dish after dish of freshly steamed delights and quickly gaining a loyal fan base at his stall at Haig Road Hawker Centre.
The steamed dishes are finely balanced in texture and flavour and made perfect with a bowl of white rice. I am belly belly happy!
