La Cerve (Pasaia, Basque Country)
After settling into our AirBnB, the sky was turning dark and drizzling, and we had been on the road for more than 3 hours from Barcelona, so the group just wanted a quick meal and an early night. With the help of Google, our first meal together on this trip was at La Cerve, a laid-back little bar near our accommodation in Pasaia, a small town a few kilometers east of San Sebastián.
To be honest, the food here was really just junk bar food, nothing fanciful. But with the continuous flow of Sangría, Spanish draft beer, Rioja wine and a great company, I could not have asked for a finer start to this memorable trip to celebrate my 50th birthday.
