As we stood before the majestic Arc de Triomf, our eyes caught sight of a charming Mediterranean restaurant nestled conveniently nearby. It was as if fate had beckoned us to La Triunfal, tempting us with promises of delectable delights and a respite from our adventures. With the sun casting its warm glow and a gentle breeze caressing our faces, we couldn't resist the allure of an al fresco dining experience along the bustling walkway.
Seated at our table, we indulged in the vibrant flavours of Spain, immersing ourselves in the culinary treasures that adorned our plates. The seafood, fresh from the Mediterranean waters, danced upon our taste buds, leaving us craving for more. Succulent olives burst with briny perfection, teasing our palates with their bold flavours. The simple yet exquisite tomato toast, adorned with juicy tomatoes and drizzled with olive oil, became a symphony of tastes that celebrated the essence of Mediterranean cuisine.
As we savoured each bite, our gaze wandered, capturing the lively energy of the surroundings. People from all walks of life mingled and moved about, their laughter and conversations filling the air. And there, in the distance, the Arc de Triomf stood as a stoic witness to the passage of time and the vibrant spirit of Barcelona.
With our appetites satisfied and our spirits lifted, we bid farewell to La Triunfal and set our sights on our next destination—the iconic La Sagrada Familia.
