Weekend Chinese Dinner

When it comes to Chinese cuisine, my boy prefers seafood-based soup to pork ribs soup. He particularly enjoys XingHua-style clam and tofu soup.

The brininess of the sea from the clams, natural umami from the dried scallops and sweetness from the white cabbage all come together to make a very delicious soup. He would always request for this whenever we dine out at XingHua restaurants.

I made this favourite soup of his, wife’s favourite ginger and spring onion pork liver and some repeated dishes including the ever popular Thai-style prawn vermicelli, abalone spinach and steamed Muar Otah for our weekend dinner.

I hope you had a great dinner with your family as well!!
