Back at One Fattened Calf (OFC) in New Bahru with my two girls for lunch. This is not our first time here, and it is not exactly a new spot, but funny enough I have never shared about it until now.

We ordered the OFC Butterburger ($16.50 / $22 with combo), the Cheeseburger (same price), and the GoldBurger ($19.50 / $25 with combo). The GoldBurger is essentially their Cheeseburger loaded with pulled beef brisket - hearty, smoky, and filling. Good, yes, but not my show-stopper. That crown still belongs to the Butterburger.

Instead of cheese, you get a thick slab of grass-fed butter that melts into the juicy patty. It is rich, indulgent, and simply my favourite way to enjoy a burger here. The Cheeseburger keeps things classic and neat, but the Butterburger always wins me over.

The buns are their own potato buns baked fresh daily, soft yet strong enough to hold everything together. Add the fries and drink from the combo, and you have got a complete meal made with pride.

Prices are not hawker-cheap, but these burgers feel honest with quality ingredients, no shortcuts, and served in a chill setting that fits the younger crowd. For me, it is always a joy to come back, especially with the kids, to enjoy food that is simple but done right.
