El Terrat by Quach

El Terrat by Quach was the culinary highlight of our visit to Tarragona. Known for its creative and refined dishes, it seamlessly combines local Mediterranean ingredients with modern techniques, delivering an exceptional gastronomic experience.

We began with the intriguing “Olive” liquid spheres, reminiscent of Chef Ferran Adrià’s creations at El Bulli. Each sphere was a sensational burst of flavour and a promising start to an exceptional meal.

We explored a variety of dishes from the à la carte menu, each one reflecting the chef’s finesse. The venison with a Moroccan twist and the tender beef tenderloin were standout highlights, showcasing bold flavours and perfectly executed techniques. The whimsical "Egg" dessert was a sweet finale that delighted both the palate and the eyes.

What also stood out was the attention to detail in presentation. Each plate was modern and artistic, complemented by unique dinnerware and cutlery that added to the experience. While the food and service were efficient, the latter felt slightly "cold" and lacked warmth, possibly due to a language barrier.

Despite this minor hiccup, the overall experience was stellar - beautifully presented, delicious dishes and a Michelin-worthy dining adventure. If you are visiting Tarragona, El Terrat is a must-try for food lovers.
