Pasta Bar
My eldest has been wanting to go Pasta Bar for a while now. With the Covid restriction lifted, we finally made a reservation. Seats are rather difficult to book here, and they have 2 seatings to choose from — 6 pm or 8pm.
All their pastas are handmade, and if you are lucky enough to snatch the bar seats, you can view the chefs at work at the open kitchen. The antipasto courses that we started off with were nothing much to shout about, and portion sizes were rather small. With high expectations for the pastas, not all of them hit the spot for me. The pastas in general were not al dante. I did enjoy the Sea Urchin Tagliolini, the sea urchin gave a nice umami flavour and creaminess when mixed in with the pasta. The Crab Parpadelle was also one of the better pastas of the night.
For an establishment that was so highly raved about in social media, I felt it did not quite reach its expectations. I have had better pastas but the service and their music playlist, especially, was impeccable.
