Back at Chui Huay Lim Teochew Cuisine for another satisfying dinner with the extended family.
Looking around the two tables, I realised how quickly time has passed. The kids we used to fuss over are now young adults and teenagers, and they are eating as much as, if not more than, the adults. A few times, our unfinished plates were simply passed over to the kids’ table and somehow still disappeared!
These gatherings mean more to me now. Good food, familiar faces, plenty of laughter and everyone together in one place.
And Chui Huay Lim remains a comforting choice for this kind of family meal. Traditional Teochew fare, familiar flavours and food that is simply meant to be shared.
