Jinjo

We were looking for a place for our NTU class reunion and a friend suggested this Japanese restaurant on the second floor of Shaw Centre.  Part of the Les Amis Group, Jinjo specialises in charcoal-grilled dishes using top quality seasonal ingredients from Japan and all over the world. Enthusiasts of Japanese Kushiyaki cooking would definitely love this place.

Cooked over charcoal burning at a high heat, the flavours and juices of the ingredient are "locked in" resulting in succulent texture and a pure finish which emphasises the distinctive flavours of the ingredient itself.

As the night wore on and the sake flowed, we had a great time feasting on the Kushiyaki items from humble chicken crowns and Shishito peppers to delicacies like foie gras and A5 Wagyu. Complementing the grilled items with dishes like amazing monkfish liver and unagi claypot rice and reminiscing about the good old days at the University.
